In 2022, The Story of Us opened its doors on the
second floor of the Hagen History Center, presenting
a thoughtful exploration of Erie County’s history.
Spread across 2,500 square feet, the exhibit invites
visitors to delve into the stories of the individuals who
have shaped our community. Through a combination
of displays and interactive elements, it offers glimpses
into the lives of immigrants who played pivotal roles
in building neighborhoods, establishing churches, and
fostering cultural clubs. Featuring a wealth of historic
images and personal anecdotes, the exhibit provides
a nuanced understanding of how these newcomers
made their living and contributed to the vibrant
tapestry of Erie County.
