The oldest structure on the National Mall is its newest interpretive destination. Working with a team headed by Trivium Interactive, PRD addressed the physical design challenges of re-imagining this small historic structure as a gateway to the Mall. The team created an immersive interactive experience that allowed the “walls to speak,” telling the story of the many changes that have shaped the Mall since the days when it was an active part of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal that linked the young city of Washington to the western areas of the growing nation.
