The Museum of Alabama Master Plan recognized the need to soften ADAH’s architectural presence on both its exterior and interior, creating a sense of welcome and a desire to stay longer through vibrant graphics, wayfinding, and related environmental components. The Phase 3 project made the development of these visitor welcoming elements a priority.
Walking into and throughout the building, the updated “placemaking” helps visitors to feel like they belong and that they can find their story at the Museum of Alabama.
