The Bible Museum of Africa

Africa and the Bible

PRD is leading a team of exhibit and media designers to develop the conceptual storyline and visitor experience vision for the 30,000-square-foot core exhibit Africa and the Bible at The Bible Museum of Africa. Working with Ghanaian and global scholars, PRD has explored how the unique African embrace of the Bible has intersected with traditional spirituality to build churches, shape nations, and strengthen cultures. Envisioned as a series of gathering moments, exhibits create an historical context for African voices to tell the story of how the
Bible has been used both for good and bad purposes in Africa with an enduring redemptive impact on the continent and throughout the global diaspora.

Our work involves close coordination of space planning and integration of exhibit infrastructure with the overall architectural design of The National Cathedral of Ghana by Adjaye Associates.
